Fall Festivals In Murrells Inlet

Aside from a few weeks straight of rain, a hurricane and a tropical storm, summer here in Murrells Inlet was amazing! Here at Inlet Sports Lodge, we had the pleasure of meeting so many new guests and hosted plenty of events to keep us busy. Now that the weather has cooled off, Fall is officially here! If you are a fan of pumpkin spiced lattes and seasonal craft beers, this time of year is made for you. Since it’s not unbearably hot outside, the Grand Strand has plenty of outdoor fun for the entire family going on! We are here to bring to light the fall festivals in Murrells Inlet that you should not miss out on.

Halloween On The Marshwalk

What better place to spend Halloween night than on the Marshwalk? Beginning at 5pm, there will be trick-or-treating along the Marshwalk. The adult costume contest will run from 7pm to 8:30pm. Over $4,000 in cash and prizes will be award for categories that include People’s Choice, Best Duo/Group, Best Individual and Big & Bulky. Winners will be announced at 10:30pm inside of Bovines. Come out and have a spook-tacular time!

Chilympics

The 19th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook Off returns to the parking lot of Wicked Tuna here in Murrells Inlet on Sunday, November 4th! This event brings amateur and professional cooks together to raise money for the Grand Strand Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Over 40 self-proclaimed “Chilimasters” will be selling samples of their delicious chili and there will be beer vendors as well to cool down your palate. Be sure to bring an appetite!

15th Annual Oyster Roast

Aw shucks! On Saturday, November 17th from 11:30am to 3pm, enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters in the parking lot of Wicked Tuna here in Murrells Inlet, SC. For this rain or shine event, there will be live entertainment as well as a variety of other foods to choose from in addition to the oysters. Oh, and beer! Be sure to purchase your ticket online for this event.

Marshwalk Wonderland of Lights

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Beginning on November 17th, the Marshwalk will be twinkling with thousands of lights along the water. If you experienced the setup last year, then you know that it’s worth coming back for night after night. If you are lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of Kris Kringle himself and get your picture taken with him!

An Inlet Christmas Weekend
