You can take advantage of the festive events and settings when you book directly with Inlet Sports Lodge. We are a fantastic venue for celebrating the Christmas season, and it gets even better when you attend one of these extraordinary annual Christmas events in the Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet area.

Winter Wonderland At The Beach

Head down to the beach in Myrtle Beach until Jan 1 to see an amazing winter wonderland. If you want to see the beach light up, try to arrive between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to see the Christmas lights brighten the sandy shores. A winter festival kicks off early in December, and what follows is a series of other celebrations, such as Light Up the Night Bike Ride, Twinkling Two-Miler Run, and more.

Ripley’s Festival of Trees

Here is another exhibit that lights up Myrtle Beach. The Ripley’s Festival of Trees celebrates the United States and its territories with 55 magnificent trees decked with area-appropriate decor. For instance, the South Carolina tree is more than 18 feet tall and adorned with seashells, magnolias, golf balls, and more.

The Wonderland of Lights

The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is already a standout attraction, but it stands out during Christmas. The Wonderland of Lights lights up the MarshWalk with bright lights and a 20-foot-tall Christmas tree. From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. every night through December, thousands of lights bring warmth and cheer to an already bustling entertainment district in Murrells Inlet.

Murrells Inlet Hotel: Eat, Drink & Be Merry

‘Tis the season to be jolly! We’ve recently carved the turkey and survived Black Friday, so we can officially listen to Christmas music, watch cheesy Hallmark movies and bake cookies for Santa Clause. This time of year, we typically throw calories out the window and indulge in our favorite foods and beverages. Why? Because this is THE best time of year to eat, especially here along the Grand Strand near our Murrells Inlet hotel. With so much going on, we don’t want to miss out on any experiences for ourselves or our children (if you have them). Below are a few things to check out in Myrtle Beach until you need to “get back on track” on January 1st.

Brunch At Gulfstream Cafe

Finding a restaurant along the Grand Strand that combines a delicious meal with a gorgeous view can be difficult. Gulfstream Cafe has perfected that combination! This brunch has all of your breakfast favorites, lunch cravings and everything in between. Don’t leave without a plate full of biscuits & gravy! We also recommend stopping by the made-to-order omelette station next to the buffet. To cap off this extraordinary spread, your server will bring warm chocolate chip cookies with your check. YUM!

All You Can Eat Wings At Grumpy Monk

With two locations in Myrtle Beach, Grumpy Monk is quickly becoming every local’s favorite watering hole. They have upwards of 50 beers on tap that rotate from season to season and their Happy Hour is second to none. However, they made this list because of their Thursday night special: all you can eat wings! What’s better than everyone’s favorite bar food? Every Thursday night from 4pm to close, they offer AYCE Buffalo style chicken wings for $14.99. The real question is, how many can you put down?

Peppermint Chocolate Milkshake At Chic-fil A

Nothing tastes more like Christmas than the peppermint chocolate milkshake at Chic-fil-A! This deadly concoction is only available for about 6 weeks, but we are lucky enough to be in the midst of greatness. The combination of decadent chocolate with a hint of fresh peppermint will make your tastebuds do a happy dance!

‘Tis The Season For Christmas Events In Myrtle Beach

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la! It’s the most wonderful time of the year here in our neck of the woods in Myrtle Beach. The weather finally cools off, everything is a lot less hectic and everyone seems to be in a wonderful mood. There are always a ton of Christmas events in Myrtle Beach in December, so we thought we would provide you with a few of your favorites that you can check out while you visit us here at Inlet Sports Lodge!

North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade

The annual North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday December 2nd on Main Street from 5:30pm to 7pm. Be sure to stop by to check out the Christmas floats and marching bands as they make their way merrily down the street!

Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade

You know you are in South Carolina when boats decked out in Christmas decorations make their way down the street! Just a few minutes down the street from Inlet Affairs on Sunday December 3rd, the Murrells Inlet Christmas Parade will begin at 3pm and make it’s way from the north end of Highway 17 Business to the corner of Highway 17 Business and Wachesaw Road. Each boat will be tossing candy and other fun things for the kids. It’s a blast!

Nights of a Thousand Candles

A few miles south of Inlet Sports Lodge in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, you will find Brookgreen Gardens. For a few weekends in December, we are lucky enough to be able to view more than 5,500 hand-lit candles throughout their gardens. Sip on a cup of warm cider or hot chocolate as you listen to carolers or admire Christmas lights.

The Great Christmas Light Show

At the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex you will find over 2 MILLION Christmas lights! That’s right! Their winter wonderland includes a 1.5 mile ride through various displays and Santa’s Village where you can get something to eat and get your picture taken with Santa Claus himself!

Merry MarshWalk Christmas

For the first 3 Saturdays in the month of December, swing on by the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet for a unique shopping experience! Beginning at 10am and ending at 5pm, browse offerings from local businesses and artists along the marsh.

Aside from these events, there are plenty of other Christmas shows and special events along the Grand Strand. You will be able to enjoy the holiday every day if you really want to! Please let us know if you need anything from us during your stay here in Myrtle Beach.
